This Gin & Ginseng Gimlet is one of our favorite drinks to make in March and April. We created this cocktail to welcome spring in all its splendor using one of our favorite elegant oolongs, the Ginseng Blue. This drink is so deliciously light and floral, it tastes like dappled sunlight peaking through the first dogwood blossoms of the season.
Oh yeah, we got all that from one sip of our Gin & Ginseng Gimlet. Check out the recipe below, it’s our current cocktail obsession.
GIN & GINSENG GIMLET:
2oz Gin (the more botanical, the better. We love Hendrick’s)
1oz Ginseng Blue Simple Syrup*
3/4oz lime juice
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into your prettiest cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime twist.
GINSENG BLUE SIMPLE SYRUP:
2 TBSP Ginseng Blue tea leaves
2 TBSP light agave
Steep the Ginseng Blue loose tea leaves for 5 minutes in 4oz of water. When tea finishes steeping, strain into a measuring cup and add the agave. Stir until dissolved.
