Anji Bai Cha

Anji Bai Cha is a famous Chinese green tea with a storied history that dates back over a thousand years. Its limited production and unique chemistry make it one of the most sought-after green teas in the world. It’s harvested in early spring and grown from a temperature-sensitive albino cultivar of the tea plant (Baiye No. 1) that produces young leaves lower in chlorophyl and uniquely high in amino acids. This distinctive chemical composition results in a noticeably lower astringency level, sweeter flavor profile and a rich, buttery mouthfeel.  It has distinct citrus notes and mild vegetal undertones.
