Persephone (pronounced pərˈsefənē) is the Greek goddess of the Spring and the pomegranate was considered sacred to her. The Myth of Persephone is of Astatula founder Angela Ellis’s favorite goddess myths. A symbol of balancing light and dark, Persephone is the goddess of the Spring, yet she spends part of the year in the Underworld–like all things, always in flux.
