The perfect tea for those who enjoy an occasional cup of Joe. Rich black tea, cocoa bits and chocolate chips mixed with roasted coffee beans. To top it off, we’ve added freeze dried yogurt granules and bits of hazelnut. It’s creamy perfection.
Please note that this blend contains nuts (hazelnut).
Café Au Lait is created using a black tea base. Black tea is what most Westerners associate with traditional tea. It comes from the same tea plant (Camellia Sinensis) as all other forms of tea; however, unlike any other type, it is fully oxidized. Shortly after harvest the tea leaves are rolled to release the enzymes present in the leaf that trigger oxidation. After oxidation is complete, the leaves are dried and then sorted. Black teas produce a darker liquor than white, green or oolong teas and a bolder, more assertive flavor.
Black tea is produced in nearly all major tea growing regions throughout the world and is one of the most commonly consumed types of tea. Serve Café Au Lait with coffee cake, chocolate or caramel desserts.
We recommend steeping Café Au Lait for 3 minutes at 195°.. Try it like a latte by adding 1-2 teaspoons of raw sugar and steamed milk.
Ingredients: Black tea, cocoa bits, brittle pieces, chocolate chips, roasted coffee beans, flavoring, freeze-dried yogurt granules.

Really needs to be prepared with milk due to to yogurt and chocolate. Is at its best when prepared like a latte as the description suggests. I like it most when prepared similar to TeBella’s London Fog recipe. Falls flat if prepared only with water. A great start to the morning, or an afternoon pick me up.
