May 29, 2018Genmai Cha is a traditional Japanese green tea. The tea leaves have been blended with roasted brown rice and is often referred to as “popcorn tea,” as the blend often includes popped rice in it. It has an intense nutty flavor due to the rice, and brews a vibrant yellow color.
We recommend steeping Genmai Cha for 1 minute at 165°.
