A new rendition of an old favorite! This enchanting oolong is delicately flavored with the essence of ripe passion fruit. Elegant with soft notes of pomegranate and with citrus in the finish. Good for multiple infusions.
The base tea for this blend is a Chinese oolong known as Bai Ya Qi Lan. Produced in Pinghe County of South Fujian, it is one of the four famous teas of Fujian Province. Similar to another famous Fuijan tea, Ti Kwan Yin, it is lightly oxidized, tightly rolled, and has a smooth, full-bodied flavor with characteristic fragrant orchid notes. That floral quality pairs wonderfully with passionfruit, lending a sweetness that balances out the tart tropical fruit.
We recommend steeping Oolong Passion for 3 minutes at 195°.
